the guineas in peggy-o are british coins of the era. makes sense in the lyrics "i would marry you, but your guineas are too few" and "what would your mother think if she heard my guineas clink".

as for vocal flubs: i can't remember the date at the moment, but i recently heard a morning dew where, at what may be the most anticipated vocal in any GD song- the final line of the song after a long instrumental build- jerry sings "I" instead of "it", resulting in the confusing line "i guess i... doesn't matter anyway".
